Can we use our existing transaction codes in the proof or reader/sorter operation?
Yes. It is possible to use your tran codes in the Reader/Sorter or Proof Machine Operation, then have Insite Banking System perform a conversion through a translation table of the old codes to the new. It is preferred however that you eventually switch to the Insite tran codes.

How do you put descriptions on G/L transactions that have gone through proof?
There are 120 user defined G/L tranaction codes and descriptions available if you use an intelligent proof or reader/sorter. If you need to add a description after the transaction has gone through proof, go into transaction entry and add a transaction description. If a transaction is entered through CRT proof, the description can be entered at the same time as the transaction is entered.
